Anna Korver is an established New Zealand artist currently based in Taranaki. She has been working nationally and internationally since receiving a BFA in sculpture from the University of Canterbury in 2003. Recently she is spending much of her time abroad for sculpture symposiums, including in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Romania and Argentia. One of the most exciting advantages in completing the symposium’s is working with significantly larger in scale, materials of stone and metal, compared to what is available in New Zealand.
Korver’s works are feminine in their identity and perspective, the fundamental concepts and feeling of the works inviting intimacy and personal connection. The forms are minimalist and structurally very elegant.
